Good afternoon Sherwood School District Staff,<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n


<\/font><\/div>\n

As you likely are aware, there is winter weather advisory in effect for tomorrow<\/span><\/span>, December 8<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 The purpose of this message is to assure you that we will commence very early in the morning, as we always do, in determining how best to approach the school day.\u00a0 The safety of students and staff are the most important factor and that is the lens through which any decisions about delays, early dismissals, or cancellations are made.<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Should inclement weather impact our school day, we will communicate that information using the following methods: FlashAlert, District web site, Facebook, and Twitter.\u00a0 If you are not already subscribed, you can sign up to receive weather and emergency alerts for Sherwood Schools at <\/span>https:\/\/www.flashalert.net\/<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0(It is also recommended that you download the smartphone app for FlashAlert Messenger.)<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

As we cannot know until tomorrow<\/span><\/span> how impactful this weather event will be in our community, please take necessary steps to prepare your students and families for school delay, closure or early release. <\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Como ya se han dado cuenta, hay un aviso de clima invernal en efecto el para ma\u00f1ana, 8 de diciembre. El prop\u00f3sito de este mensaje es para asegurarles de que comenzaremos nuestro d\u00eda muy temprano en la ma\u00f1ana, como siempre lo hacemos, para determinar como mejor empezar nuestro d\u00eda. La seguridad de los estudiantes y personal son los factores m\u00e1s importantes y son por estos factores donde se toman decisiones sobre demoras, salida temprana, o cancelaciones de clases.<\/p>\n

Si el mal tiempo impacta nuestro d\u00eda escolar, le comunicaremos la informaci\u00f3n usando los siguientes m\u00e9todos: FlashAlert, sitio web del Distrito, Facebook, y Twitter. Si es que no se ha subscrito, usted puede inscribirse para recibir alertas de emergencia y del clima para las escuelas de Sherwood al\u00a0https:\/\/www.flashalert.net\/<\/a>.
