Oregon’s Statewide Assessments in science, mathematics, and English language arts will begin in February 2024 for High School students and late March for students in grades 3-8. Below you will find links to information regarding state assessments. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Oregon law (ORS 329.479) permits parents and adult students to annually opt-out of Oregon\u2019s statewide summative tests in English Language Arts and Math by submitting the opt-out form to the school your student attends. Use the forms below to indicate that you do not wish to have your child participate in the English Language Arts (ELA) and\/or Math state test(s) for the 2021-2022 school year. Forms will be accepted any time, however, if a form is submitted after a student has begun testing, the student will stop testing, but items answered up to that point will be scored and the student will receive a performance level and\/or overall score. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The PSAT-NMSQT will be offered on Oct. 11th, 2023. Testing will occur at the Sherwood District Office. The PSAT is an optional test recommended for Juniors and also open to Sophomores. Registration is limited to 125 students and is open now through September 4th. <\/strong>Students who register for the PSAT will have a non-refundable test fee of $26 added to their student accounts. For questions about registration, please contact the Career Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ACT & PreACT gives students valuable information to help them plan for life after high school. Students receive a list of majors and occupations to look into based on their interests or careers they are considering. Through exploration, students find occupations they might otherwise have missed. The ACT also aligns with the ACT College and Career Readiness Standards, which help students understand what their scores mean.
