The early years of childhood are foundational for future health, well-being, and success.  In the first five years of life, children are learning critical language, cognitive, social, and motor skills that are critical for success in school and in life.  Early learning opportunities teach children how to develop positive peer relationships, problem solve, communicate and manage emotions. Registration opens on January 5 for the 2026-2027 school year!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our district is committed to providing valuable early learning opportunities through our preschool program. As preschool is an optional program in Oregon without state funding, the program’s operation is is sustained entirely through tuition revenue, which directly supports staffing costs necessary for its operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To maintain the necessary staffing levels and ensure a high-quality learning environment, each preschool classroom requires an enrollment of 18 tuition-paying students. Once this enrollment target is reached for a class, families will be immediately informed of its confirmation. We appreciate your partnership in supporting our preschool program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2026-2027 Program Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are excited to announce our Pre-K program for the 2026\u20132027 school year<\/strong>, featuring both full-day<\/strong> and half-day<\/strong> options!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To enroll, students must be four or five years old on or before September 1, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Pre-K Open House: January 14, 2026 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm<\/strong> in the Middleton Elementary and Ridges Elementary Pre-K classrooms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Pre-K Site Announcement:<\/strong> We will announce the final Pre-K site locations on April 3, 2026.<\/strong> (Site selections will be determined based on the preferences indicated on submitted interest forms.)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
