High-quality instructional materials (HQIM) ensure all students have access to rigorous, grade-level learning. Aligned with standards and skills and based in evidence, HQIM help students build knowledge, think critically, and stay engaged. When teaching and materials work together, students get a smoother learning experience across grade levels. Everything connects and builds over time, so they\u2019re less likely to miss important skills or knowledge along the way. Instructional Ma<\/a>terials Under Consideration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Teaching and Learning department partners with staff across disciplines and grade levels to review and update instructional materials and practices according to Board policy and Oregon State Statute and Administrative Regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the 2025-2026 school year, Sherwood School District will be reviewing and piloting Social Science materials for grades K-12, as well as Health materials for elementary students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
